Neotropical temperate grasslands comprise the Pampas ecoregion in Argentina. This region is also center of agricultural development Argentina, which has led to a significant simplification and homogenization landscape. The Tandilia Mountains, located Southeast ecoregion, house one last remnants highland grassland that acts as refuge for several native species, including both endemic threatened species. work aims present an updated inventory mammal species inhabit Mountains. We used sources information compile list, museum collections, citizen science projects (i.e., iNaturalist, EcoRegistros, Argentinian Network Monitoring Run Over Fauna), literature, personal observations. recorded 40 mammals, include 32 eight exotic richest orders were Rodentia (42.5%), Chiroptera (17.5%), Carnivora (12.2%). mammals found Mountains represent 44% diversity among there are whose populations declining globally, Unfortunately, presence protected areas system limited few small ones, highlights urgency increasing number variety areas. presented this contributes knowledge biodiversity planning conservation actions grasslands.
